Brooke Burch

I had an interest in fashion and art from the early age of 5. I sewed by hand as a child and my grandmother taught me how to use my first machine at age 11.

In fall of 2007, I started studying at the University of Wisconsin- Stout. While there, I served on the Student Senate, was in the concert and pep band, and was President and member of the Black Student Union. I had the opportunity to complete an internship in New York City and study fashion abroad in London, England at AIU-American Intercontinental University, while in college. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design and Manufacturing in Spring of 2012.

I had my son, Teigen, in Summer of 2014. He is my joy and greatest inspiration. I have been operating my custom sewing and alterations business full time since 2015. I love the process of design and I am lucky to be able to do what I love for a living.

Judy Onofrio

Judy Onofrio invented herself as an artist and in the process enriched the whole of Minnesota cultural life. Her art education was a result of her insatiable curiosity and independent spirit.

Beginning with ceramics in the 1970s, Judy Onofrio moved through a wide range of materials and exploration of form. She has created large-scale installations, sculptural fire performances and elaborately carved and obsessively embellished sculpture.

Onofrio was the founding director of the Minnesota Crafts Council, served as Acting Director of the Rochester Art Center and founded the children's Total Art Day Camp at the Rochester Art Center.

In 2005, Onofrio was awarded The McKnight Foundation Distinguished Minnesota Artist Award in recognition of her ongoing contribution as an artist and educator.
